It Feels Like a Whole New World
It feels like we're in a whole new world this morning, doesn't it? Anything is possible now.
Oooh, yes, it's been a strange and wonderful path. And how blessed I feel to have walked it with you! I think of lyrics from a song sung by Steve Earle: "Every mother kind and every father proud looks down in awe to find another chance allowed". The lyrics refer not to a nation, but to a child of whose hopeful parents are in awe of his/her new potential for greatness.
America is a great experiment and, as long as her Constitution survives, she promises her citizens "another chance allowed."
