Support the Troops. End the War.

I took part in a conference call with 2008 presidential candidate John Edwards and Alex Cornell du Houx, an active reservist Marine, today. Senator Edwards had just finished giving a commencement speech at New England College in New Hampshire when he joined Americans across America waiting for him to join them on this conference call.

You can hear what I heard here.

As citizens, we honor and support our troops for their service and sacrifice.

As Americans, we are blessed by that sacrifice and support, which keeps us safe and keeps us strong.

As patriots, we call on our government to support our troops in the most important way it can - by ending this war and bringing them home.

This Memorial Day weekend, we will all take responsibility for the country we love and the men and women who protect it. We will volunteer, we will pray, and we will speak out. Each of us has a responsibility to act, a duty to our troops and to each other. Support the troops. End the war.

If you're in Central New York, see my page.

It's time to reclaim our patriotism. Patriotism is more than a tool for Bush to use to prolong his disaster in Iraq.

Disengagement will take from 8 - 12 months to do so in an orderly fasion. The time to start is NOW!

Yup - I don't think anyone is cutting and running no matter how much the Right is trying to paint us that way.

Here's one for you too, Iddy.

We've finally got a mantra that cannot be misunderstood! It is prayer in action, and it is destined to have wings!

Bless You, John Edwards!
