"John McCain's silliness about how safe it is to walk around Baghdad should be decisively put to rest by this incident."
- Juan Cole, speaking about a suicide bomber wearing a bomb vest who managed to get into a cafeteria in the parliament building in the fortress-like Green Zone in downtown Baghdad and to detonate his payload. He killed 8 persons and wounded 20, among them two members of parliament. They included an MP from the secular Sunni National Dialogue Front (11 seats) and another from the Kurdistan Alliance

I knew there was a reason I never trusted McCain. And it wasn't just because he was a faux moderate.
It's hilarious watching the GOP frontrunners try to pass themselves as everything they're not. 2008 is gonna be fuuuuuun.
McCain has sold whatever soul he had to the devil named Bush.
His aspirations are falling apart as is his "credibility."
McCain's been drinking the Bush Kool-Aid too long
the strangest thing about the bombing at Parliament is that the estimate of the number of killings very suddenly went from 8 to 1....
I'm not at all sure why McCain was all that anxious to tie his own fortunes to the administration's. He's always been much more conservative than people think though.
